So, I did a thing. I helped push forward a new group on Facebook called; Screenwriters writing Novels. Being I'm more a novelist than a screenwriter, I wanted to be there to help those who are making the transition. I know I don't have a huge following yet, but I know I can help. After a decade and a couple years of writing novels, learning writing craft, learning cover design, and book layout, I believe I have a lot of skills and good heart to help those type of people.
So far, this group is so helpful and just about everyone I've met is actually nice. I've been in some writing groups where the power gets to their head, and some are just mean. Not so in this group. I'm so happy to be part of it. I've also been part of Bang2Write's teachable tribe and a huge fan and friend of my girl, Lucy V Hay.
I'm also thinking of adding a new place to site just for this stuff. Possibly a new blog for writing tips like Lucy does. I want to be more involved in the #writingcommunity. This has been my passion since I was 6 years old. It's been a struggle; I will not kid you. Ups and downs. More downs than ups. I've given up for a short time but am now back. Yes, I said I gave up for about a year. Taking that year off was helpful. I found a new series that I got addicted to. The Fatal series by Marie Force literally saved mine and my hubby's life. Reading about Sam and Nick have truly helped us in this trying new time of life.
So, I will be making a cool place to feature writing tips, novel writing, designing tips, and featured authors/screenwriters/writers, and any type of writer. This will also include poets. I think this will be cool and build a community like no other. Something I've always wanted to do.
